Overview
The V1000 series are compact current micro drives that are engineered for efficiency and ease of maintenance. The team at Yaskawa ensured that the drive is designed with a perfect balance of energy input, product output, maintenance risk, and durability.
There is no shortage of options when it comes the supported output capacity of the V1000 series. Installers will find Yaswaka offered supports for a wide range of ⅛ to 25 HP. Flexibility is further extended as the compact current micro drives can work with both induction and permanent magnet motor.
System installers who are concerned about operation speed need not worry as the V1000 series drives are powered with a dual CPU. This translates into an impressive 2ms scan time. The drive also features a swing PWM function which reduces noise at a low carrier frequency.
Technicians will find installation and maintenance a breeze with the V1000 series. For instance, side by side mounting is possible as the drive features a patented hybrid heatsink for efficient cooling. In case a cooling fan is faulty, the technician could easily replace it without any tools.
Programming on the V1000 series is aided by a set of buttons, displays and LED. Parameter setup, operation commands, and fault tracing can be performed via the display panel. Installers could also leverage on the pre-programmed application presets that are meant for commonly used setups.

V1000 Series Features
1. CIMR-VU4A0005FAA Modbus Communication
The V1000 series compact current micro drives are built in with a serial communication module that allows it to be operated remotely. It uses the standard RTU MEMOBUS/Modbus protocol, and up to 31 units can be linked in a single connection. This allows the convenience of configuring or monitoring the drive from a control station.
2. CIMR-VU4A0005FAA Terminal Block With Memory Backup Module
An intelligent terminal block with a built-in memory is engineered for the V1000 series drive. When the terminal block is removed, all the parameters of the drive is saved onto the memory module. The parameters will be transferred over to the new module when being plugged in. This prevents tedious programming of the same parameters on the new drive.
3. CIMR-VU4A0005FAA FlowChart Programming
System installers can create application programs for the V1000 series drive with the assistance of the DriveWorksEZ software. It has a range of block icons that can be placed and arranged in a flow chart style. This simplifies the creation of the control algorithm for the drive.
