Overview

Manufactured in the UK, Optidrive P2 is Invertek Drives’ answer to the demands for a cost-effective variable speed drive that performs reliably in harsh environments. Each of the drives can withstand 150% overload for up to 60 seconds, which makes them favorable for heavy-duty applications.
The Optidrive P2 drives work with various types of motors, including AC induction, permanent magnet, brushless DC, and synchronous reluctance motors. The drive supports 200V to 600V input for single and 3-phase voltages. With a high starting torque of up to 200%, the drive provides accurate control for all types of loads.
Besides the robust performance, the Optidrive P2 is available in IP20, IP55, and IP66 enclosures. Systems that demand a dust-free and wash-down heavy-duty VFD will find the Optidrive P2 an ideal option. The versatility and robustness of the drive make it a favorite for mining, metal processing, rubber, plastics, and F&B applications.
Installation of the Optidrive P2 is made simple with the keyhole mounts and pluggable control terminals. Parameter configuration is done via the integrated keypad and display, which allows parameter setup and control of the drive. The built-in integral brake transistor and EMC filter also mean reduced external components during installation.
The flexibility of the Optidrive P2 is also empowered by the optional plugin modules, including communication interfaces, I/O, EMC filters, and encoders. Installers can also program the drive with the Optistick Smart and the OptiTools software.

1. OPT-2-L3090-20 PLC Functionality

Programming on the Optidrive P2 is simplified with block-type functions used in a PLC. Installers can work with basic PLC functions, comparators, timers, mathematical functions, and drive-specific logics to configure the drive's behavior.
2. OPT-2-L3090-20 Safe Torque Off

The Optidrive P2’s built-in safe torque off feature immediately disable the drive in abnormal conditions. The feature removes the need for an external input contactor and additional wiring, which leads to faster installation. It also offers better safety standards compared to mechanical solutions.
3. OPT-2-L3090-20 Connectivity With Communications Modules

Optidrive P2 supports major communication industry protocol that allows the drive to be connected into existing networks. Its built-in module supports Modbus RTU and CANopen while additional modules can be inserted to connect with these protocols:
