The WJ200 series AC variable speed drives are designed by Hitachi with both performance and user-friendliness in mind. These drives support voltages between 100-400VAC and have the option of single or three-phase output.
The WJ200 inverter drive features state-of-the-art circuitry and components to provide high performance. The housing footprint is exceptionally small, given the size of the corresponding motor. The Hitachi WJ200 product line includes more than a dozen inverter models to cover motor sizes from 1/8 horsepower to 20 horsepower, in either 240VAC or 480VAC power input versions.
One of the key features of the WJ200 series variable speed drives is the ability to operate with a starting torque above 200%. This feature is made possible thanks to the integrated auto-tuning function that enables easy sensorless vector control within the drive.
The WJ200 series also sees a major improvement in speed regulation at low speed where fluctuation is halved compared to its predecessor. The drives also feature new trip avoidance functions which prevent unnecessary tripping and offer protection to connected equipment.
With refined specifications and a broad range of operation, the WJ200 series is ideal for applications like air conditioning, compressed air, conveyors, extrusion process, irrigation, and dry cleaning machines.
System installers will find that the WJ200 series is remarkably easy to install. The operational sequence can be created with the Hitachi’s EzSQ software and downloaded to the WJ200 series variable speed drives via a PC.
Maintenance on the WJ200 series is aided by the display panel and the choice of parameters that can be shown. The variable speed drives are also designed with screwless terminal and can be installed side-by-side to maximize space usage.

The WJ200 series features a simple positioning control that can be activated where the feedback signal is used for positioning control operation. When the WJ200 series is in positioning control mode, the position counter starts increasing until the target position is achieved.
