Overview
The SCF series of frequency inverters are compact micro-drives engineered by Lenze Americas to provide precise control for AC motors. Multiple models supporting output power between ¼ HP to 30 HP are available in the SCF series. It is an ideal component for new or existing motor driven applications.
The SCF series microdrives are designed to meet the IP20 rating for protection against solid objects up to a diameter of 12mm. It has a neatly arranged panel layout that features input power terminals, electronic program module, programming buttons, 3-Digit LED display, control terminal strip, DC bus terminals, and motor output terminals.
System integrators can easily connect to the terminals of the SCF series that are clearly labeled for start/stop, analog input, digital inputs, and outputs. The SCF range of frequency inverters also supports Modbus, a standard industry protocol on 2-Wire RS485 cable. This makes configuration and control of the frequency inverter possible on remote stations.
Applications that require fast stopping or deceleration feature will find the packaged dynamic brake solution handy for ease of implementation. While the SCF inverters are easy to install, they must be done with care if the system is to comply with EMC requirements.
Technicians and support personnel will find the visual controls and indicators handy in setting up and commissioning the unit. Besides setting key parameters such as minimum frequency, and acceleration time, the LED display also returns error messages to aid troubleshooting efforts.

SF510 SCF Series Features
1. SF510 SCF Series Communication
The SCF series frequency inverters support standard Modbus protocol over the RS485 wired connection. It is set to operate in slave mode on a 9600 baud rate. This allows a control station to remotely configure and monitor the operation of the SCF series frequency inverters. Each of the drives can be configured with a specific address between 1-247, although only 32 devices (including the master) can be supported in the conventional RS485 network.
2. SF510 SCF Series Electronic Programming Module
The Electronic Programming Module or EPM is a functional module that stores operational parameters and custom settings. It is placed on the main control board of the drive. This special module helps can be removed from the existing control board and fixed onto a replacement board to ensure it operates with the existing configurations.
3. SF510 SCF Series Fault Troubleshooting
All of the SCF series frequency inverters are built with safety in mind. In the cause of a fault condition, in the event of a FAULT, the drive can be programmed to restart where 3 attempts will be made. If the condition that triggers the FAULT persist, the drive will place itself into a FAULT LOCKOUT mode and can only recover once the fault condition is resolved and drive manually reset.

SF510 - Electronic Programming Module (EPM)
When you need to program or replace a drive, whether it is 1 or 100 drives, the Electronic Programming Module (EPM) gets it done simply, quickly and most important, accurately. There is no hassle of reconfiguring each parameter or resetting the drive to factory or user default settings. When drive reset is necessary, reset to factory default or customer settings in seconds with the EPM. When the EPM equipped drive is used on a line containing multiple drives with the identical setup, it takes just minutes to program the entire line. And EPMs can be replaced with or without power connected. When a drive must be replaced, the parameter configuration is not lost, simply plug in the pre-programmed EPM. You are good to go with Ever Present Memory.
