Overview

The KLR series line reactors are developed by Transcoil to offer protections for 6-pulse rectifiers and power converters such as the variable frequency drives. The line reactor can be placed before or after the VFD to protect it from harmful electrical transients.
Engineered with care, the KLR Series line reactors enable system installations to comply with the best practices in harmonic controls as recommended by the IEEE 519-2014 standard. The line reactor is ideal for applications involving VFDs in HVAC chillers, pumps, oil rigs, conveyors or sprinkler irrigation systems.
In systems troubled by inrush current, installing the KLR line reactor can prevent damages that result in a drive shutdown. The line reactor helps to suppress the voltage that breaches the threshold limit and prevents components failure and power trip.

KLR Series line reactors are also handy in reducing harmonic reduction faced by non-linear drives. Peak currents are greatly reduced with the line reactor, which results in a smoother waveform and consequently, improved power factor.
The use of the KLR series line reactors is an economical measure to prolong the lifespan of the equipment. The reactor itself is built with durability in mind and is expected to function optimally in harsh conditions.
The KLR series reactors are available across a broad range of voltage range, namely 208V to 690V. Besides that, the reactors are produced in ultra-low, low and high impedance, which helps to stabilize the harmonics in various applications.
KRF0120VTB KLR Series Reactors Features
1. KRF0120VTB KLR Series Mounting
KLR Series reactors are designed to simplify installation. The reactors can be wall-mounted or floor mounted. As an open-style device, the reactor can be installed with a bracket for support and also as an enclosure. The options available for mounting the reactor enable it to be installed in control cabinets, drive cabinets or larger enclosures.
2. KRF0120VTB KLR Series Ventilation
To ensure that the KLS series perform in optimal condition, there should be a minimum gap of 3 inches on each side of the reactor during installation. In applications where the ambient temperature exceeds 40 degrees Celcius, appropriate measures must be taken to address the required ventilation.
