ACS880-11-124A-5 ACS880 Drives Variants
The ACS880 drives are available in different variants that are optimized for their respective applications.
ACS880-11-124A-5 ACS880 Industrial Drives
These drives are built with both standard and optional industrial features to support almost any AC motors in the market, including permanence permanent magnet motors and synchronous reluctance motors. The drives have a wide range of supported connectivities and easily configurable. They are available in wall-mounted or cabinet housing with varying power capacity as follow:
- ACS880-01 - Wall mounted, Power range 0.55 to 250 kW
- ACS880-07 - Cabinet-built, Power range 45 to 2800 kW
ACS880-11-124A-5 ACS880 Regenerative Drives
The ACS880 regenerative drive series is optimized for cost savings by capturing and utilizing the braking energy of the motor before. The drives turned what would have been wasted heat into reusable energy for other equipment in the power distribution network. They are available in different mounting and power capacity.
- ACS880-11 - wall-mounted, Power range 2.2 to 110 kW / 380 to 500 V
- ACS880-17 - cabinet-built , Power range 45 to 3200 kW
ACS880-11-124A-5 ACS880 Ultra Low Harmonic Single Drives
The ultra-low harmonic single drives achieve unity power factor by successfully reducing the harmonics present in the drive input. This done solely by the internal harmonics mitigation module, without needing any external filters or special transformers. Besides that, the active supply unit of the drive ensures full motor voltage even the input voltage drops below the nominal level.
- ACS880 - 31 - wall-mounted, Power range 2.2 to 110 kW / 380 to 500 V
- ACS880 - 37 - cabinet-built, Power range 45 to 3200 kW
ACS880-11-124A-5 ACS880 Features
ACS880-11-124A-5 Connectivities
The ACS880 single drives are equipped with popular industrial connectivities that enable them to be integrated with ease into existing automation network. It supports the popular Fieldbus protocol that enables different industrial devices to communicate. Besides, the drives can be extended with I/O modules to further enhance its capability.
ACS880-11-124A-5 Integrated STO
Each of the ACS800 series is built with safety in mind. They are equipped with the STO or Safe Torque Off, a common safety feature that is becoming more prevalent in the US. The STO ensures that no torque-generating energy drives the motor and prevents unintentional start-up. Customers do not need to install separate safety components with this built-in feature.
ACS880-11-124A-5 Direct Torque Control (DTC)
The ACS800 series uses DTC, an enhanced direct torque control technique for greater accuracy in motor control. Instead of regulating the motor current, DTC controls the flux and torque of the motor directly to provide high static and dynamic speed accuracy. This also eliminates the need for additional encoders for speed and position feedback in most applications.
