Overview
Invertek Drives combine energy efficiency and flawless precision into the Optidrive E3 variable frequency drive. The VFD features sensorless vector control for induction, AC permanent magnet, BLDC and synchronous reluctance motors. It delivers precise and reliable control for IE2, IE3 and I34 motors.
The Optidrive E3 is optimized for energy savings with factory settings. Installers can configure the up to 50 parameters to deliver the required performance while keeping energy consumption to the minimum. It is proven to be way more efficient in controlling airflow when compared to conventional damper control methods.
There are various enclosure options for the Optidrive E3. The basic model comes with the IP20-rated enclosure, which is suitable for regular installations. In harsh environments, the drive can be fitted with IP66 enclosure, which is dust-proof and heavy-duty washdown ready. This allows the Optidrive E3 to be installed in demanding applications like conveyors, F&B and air handling units.
Installing the Optidrive E3 is made easy with features like DIN rail/keyhole mounting options, rising clamp terminals and an intuitive programming interface. With the aid of application macros, the drive can be instantly configured in industrial, pump or fan mode.
The versatility of the Optidrive E3 is complemented by thoughtful features such as the built-in EMC filter. It saves the trouble of installing an external component to mitigate electromagnetic disturbance to its operation. The drive also features built-in PI control and brake chopper which ensures precision and safety during operation.
Key features of the Optidrive E3:
- Internal Category C1 EMC filter
- Internal PI control
- Internal brake chopper
- Dual analogue inputs
- Operates up to 50°C connectivity
- Option for the control of single-phase motor
OPT-HVACO-IN Optidrive E3 Features
1. OPT-HVACO-IN Modbus RTU/ CAN
The Optidrive E3 supports Modbus RTU and CAN protocol. With dual RJ45 jack, it can be integrated into an existing network and function as a remote RTU. This allows remote monitoring of the drive’s parameter.
2. OPT-HVACO-IN Single Phase Motor Control.
Besides driving 3-phase motors, the Optidrive E3 can be configured for single-phase motors. The Optidrive E3 implements a revolutionary strategy where it increases the starting motor voltage to the rated voltage while maintaining the starting frequency. Then, the drive reduces both frequency and voltage to the required operating point.
3. OPT-HVACO-IN Rapid Commissioning Tool
The Optidrive E3 supports rapid commissioning with the Optistick Smart. It allows parameters to be transferred via the NFC. The Optistick Smart can be connected to mobile app or PC with Bluetooth for backup, copying or restoring drive parameters.
