Overview
Manufactured in Switzerland, Eaton’s H-Max Series VFD has software and hardware designed specifically for the HVAC, pump industry. The ultra-efficient DC capacitor and power structure allows the drive to consume less energy, lowering greenhouse gases, and saving costs making it favorable for a wide variety of situations.
The H-Max series drives are split into two types of drive, adjustable frequency drive and IntelliPass/IntelliDisconnect variable frequency drive. The adjustable frequency drive supports 200V to 600 V for 3-phase voltage and the IntelliPass/IntelliDisconnect variable frequency drive supports 208 - 480 V for 3-phase voltage.
Besides the performance, the H-Max is available in the IP21 and IP54 enclosures. Systems that need limited dust ingress protection or protection against water spray from any direction will find the H-Max as ideal. This protection along with its conformal coated circuit boards makes it favorable for decanter centrifuges, a application used in many industries such as the oil and gas, wastewater treatment, food processing, chemical plants, and mining industries.
Installation of the H-Max is made simple with the keyhole mounts and quick disconnect terminals. The pre-programmed I/O that makes installations for most applications fast along with the copy and paste functionality which allows for fast setup of multiple drives makes setting up a H-Max drive very quick and simple. The built in EMC filter also mean reduced external components during installation.
The H-Max is also empowered by the optional accessories, including EMC filters, option boards, NEMA covers, or for IntelliPass/IntelliDisconnect the optional communication LonWorks. Installers can also program the drives with the Quick Start Wizard.

1. HMX34AG3D421-N I/O Configuration
The I/O configuration is designed with wiring ergonomics in mind by including removable terminal blocks. The main, easily removable, control board used for all drive frames with:
